# Instruments

AVERT weather stations are rugged, solar-powered systems equipped with standard meteorological sensors. Wind measurements are typically collected with ultrasonic or cup anemometers, while additional probes record temperature, pressure, humidity, and rainfall. Stations are designed to withstand remote, high-precipitation, and corrosive volcanic environments. Data are telemetered in near real time and stored for long-term analysis.
