Location: North-eastern flank of Cleveland volcano, Alaska Installation Date: September 2022 (AVERT project) Instrumentation:- NOVAC scanning DOAS with motorised sensor head and UV-sensitive spectrometer
- Continuous SO₂ monitoring during daytime hours
- Scans at multiple elevation angles to create spectral transects through the plume
- First of two scanning DOAS at Cleveland, marking the first continuous SO₂ monitoring in the Aleutians
- Telemetered to AVO in near real time
- Archived at Cascades Volcano Observatory
- Available at the global NOVAC site (Chalmers University, Sweden)
