Soil CO₂ systems consist of sensors installed in shallow probes that measure soil gas concentrations at regular intervals. These are often coupled with soil temperature sensors to better characterize subsurface processes. The stations are powered by solar arrays with battery backup, and data are telemetered in near real time for integration with the AVERT network.
Soil probes that measure CO₂ concentration in shallow horizons, often co-located with soil temperature sensors.
Stations powered by solar arrays with batteries, transmitting in near real time.
Designed to complement plume-based monitoring and provide a full degassing budget.
